Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The suspension of the corona vaccinations with the vaccine from Astrazeneca throws the plans in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania upside down.

In Rostock, 82 of the 300 Astrazenca vaccination appointments could no longer be attended on Monday, as the city announced on request.

In the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, around 1000 vaccination appointments have to be canceled, as a spokeswoman said.

In the Mecklenburg Lake District district, educators and teachers should be vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine this week.

Germany is suspending vaccinations with the Astrazeneca vaccine for the time being.

This was preceded by reports of blood clots in connection with a corona vaccination with the preparation, the Federal Ministry of Health announced on Monday in Berlin.

It was a precautionary step, which was preceded by a recommendation from the responsible Paul Ehrlich Institute (PEI), said a spokesman.
