Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, nicknamed ``Korean son-in-law,'' criticized the increase in hate crimes against Asians in the U.S. after the Corona 19 pandemic yesterday (14th) as unacceptable.

Governor Hogan introduced his family's experience yesterday in an interview with CNN, saying it was "a really serious problem."

Governor Hogan married Yumi Hogan, a Korean'single mom' in 2004, and all three daughters of Yumi started a family.

Governor Hogan said, "My wife, my three daughters and my grandchildren are all Asian. They personally felt some kind of discrimination."

"In general, hate crimes declined 7% last year, but increased 150% in Asians," Governor Hogan criticized. "It's absurd and unacceptable."

Governor Hogan expressed his gratitude for President Joe Biden's call in his speech today that vicious hate crimes against Asian Americans should be stopped.

He said that these hate crimes are "something we need to control," and "I expect more people to speak out."

Governor Hogan thanked President Biden for his comments after posting photos of his family in an article posted on Twitter on the 11th.

Governor Hogan, who served as president of the Governor's Association of the United States last year, is a Republican, but often bitterly bitterly at the divisive remarks of former President Donald Trump, and is classified as the Republican leader in the 2024 presidential election.

According to the Center for Hate and Extremeism in the United States, hate crimes in the United States fell by 7% last year, but crimes against Asians in 16 major cities in the United States increased by 149%.
