March 14, 2021 A 31-year-old Genoese woman died from an accident on a path on Monte Zatta, in Val Graveglia, in Tigullio.



This is Elisa Martina Enrile, originally from Finale Ligure but resident in the Genoese district of La Foce.

Graduated in medicine, she worked as a resident at the San Martino Hospital in Genoa in the cardiovascular resuscitation department.



She was taking a trip with her boyfriend, Davide Santi, a 44-year-old from Chiavari.

For her, despite the immediate mobilization of aid, there was nothing to be done.



Dynamics of the accident resulting from a tragic fatality


In the afternoon, around 2.00 pm, the woman fell several meters into a ravine while hiking near the Bocco pass, in the municipality of Mezzanego, in the province of Genoa.

All the evidence shows that the fatal accident is the result of a tragic fatality. 



The two hikers find themselves on the mountain ridge when the woman tripped and fell several meters into a ravine.

Her partner immediately tried to reach her, trying to descend into the precipice.

The young woman, however, continued to slip.

Meanwhile, the man bumped into a tree and was himself injured.



Despite this, the man managed to call for help, but the situation was already desperate.

The Mezzanego White Cross, a Chiavari Fire Brigade team, the Liguria Alpine Rescue technicians, the Grifo helicopter rescue departed from Villanova d'Albenga and the Carabinieri intervened on the spot.



The woman was reached by helicopter but unfortunately she was already dead due to the very serious traumas reported.

Rescuers picked up the 44-year-old, shocked by the incident, and took him to the hospital.

Later the helicopter rescue returned to the site to recover the lifeless body of the young hiker, who is available to the judicial authorities at the San Martino Hospital.
