Mainz (AP) - The Rhineland-Palatinate Prime Minister Malu Dreyer (SPD) sees her election victory and the traffic light coalition with the Greens and FDP as a lesson for other constellations.

“In Rhineland-Palatinate, the traffic lights ruled very well, as the citizens underlined with this election result.

Why shouldn't the federal government look at it? ”Said Dreyer on Sunday evening in the ARD“ Tagesschau ”.

However, it made it clear that the SPD had to "grow at the federal level".

"The most important thing for me is that my own party achieves very, very good values," said Dreyer.

Her election victory and the continuation of a government under her leadership give cause for optimism.

"I am optimistic that this will really inspire the Federal SPD," said Dreyer.
