Berne (dpa / lni) - A 30-year-old was fatally injured by several knife wounds in an apartment building in Berne (Wesermarsch district).
A 31-year-old friend of hers is in custody on suspicion of murder, the police announced on Saturday evening.
The woman was discovered dead in the apartment by the police around 5 a.m.
The 31-year-old had previously reported to the police by phone that he had killed his acquaintance.
An emergency doctor could only determine the woman's death.
According to the first findings of the police, the two had spent the evening together and differences of opinion had then arisen during a conversation.
Why the two got into an argument is still the subject of the investigation, said a police spokeswoman on Saturday evening.
The forensic examinations continued.
