Former US President Donald Trump appeared at a fundraising event, suggesting his daughter-in-law's senator challenge, Fox News reported.

According to Fox News, former President Trump made an impromptu speech at a dog rescue fundraising event held at his own resort in Marrakech, Florida on the 12th local time.

The event was attended by his second daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, as one of the organizers.

Trump praised Lara as being great and wanted to express her gratitude and then said, "You're running for senator."

"I heard she's going to run for the Senate" to the cheering audience and told Lara, "I'm 100% with you."

Lara is considering running for Senate in her hometown of North Carolina.

Lara, Fox News reported, hinted at the possibility of running in November and December last year, by retweeting the polls that if she participated in the Senate nominations, she would become the Republican leader.
