Rostock (dpa / lmv) - Due to sudden rain and hail showers, there were at least seven accidents with seven injured in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Saturday.
A man was seriously injured, as the Rostock police headquarters announced on Saturday evening.
The accidents occurred on federal motorways 14, 19 and 20 - a total of nine vehicles were involved and there was property damage amounting to 55,000 euros.
One of the accidents occurred on the A 20. According to the information, three vehicles collided between the Fuchsberg service station and the Kröpelin junction - a 51-year-old was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter.
The motorway was completely closed in both directions for around two hours.
