The Constitutional Democratic Party has set a goal of doubling the number of party members to 100,000 in preparation for the House of Representatives election to be held by autumn, and intends to further expand the party.

Six months after the Constitutional Democratic Party was formed as a new party in September last year, local organizations were established in 46 prefectures, and although the nationwide system is generally in place, the number of party members is more than 40,000.

With the issue of further expansion of the party, we have decided to set the goal of increasing the number of party members to 100,000, which is more than double the current number, in preparation for the House of Representatives election to be held by autumn.

We have set a goal of acquiring party members of 300 or more per person, and 30 or more per person of prefectural and ordinance city council members, and we plan to work on acquiring party members for each local organization.

However, the party's approval rating has been sluggish, and the effects of the new coronavirus have restricted the local activities of lawmakers, making it more difficult to reach the goal.
