Bremen (AP) - Hansi Flick is still covered in relation to the much-discussed successor to Joachim Löw as national football coach.

«I've said everything about it.

I have a contract until 2023 and I don't have to say more about it, ”said the Bayern Munich coach on the Saturday before the Bundesliga game at SV Werder Bremen on Sky.

The 56-year-old was Loew's assistant coach for eight years until he won the 2014 World Cup and is considered one of the most promising candidates for the office.

Löw had announced his departure this week after the EM this year.

The day before, Flick had not explicitly ruled out a successor as national coach.

There were no discussions with DFB director Oliver Bierhoff on this subject.

"Oliver and I are friends every now and then we have something to talk to," said Flick.

That is why there is “nothing new”.
