Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 37-year-old man got his car under the plow of a tractor on federal highway 236 in Dortmund near the Hörde junction and was seriously injured.

The man from Schwerte was trapped in his car, a police spokesman said on Saturday.

The uninjured 24-year-old tractor driver was on the way in front of him in the direction of Schwerte on Friday evening.

How exactly it came to the collision is still unclear.

The driver came to a hospital.

About half an hour earlier there had been another serious accident in the immediate vicinity on Berghofer Strasse.

An 81-year-old pedestrian ran onto the road for unknown reasons and was hit by a 57-year-old driver, the spokesman said.
