Ajman Crown Prince issues a decision regarding registration in the registry of suppliers, contractors and consultants

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued Emiri Resolution No. 2 of 2021 regarding registration in the registry of suppliers, contractors and consultants at the Department of Finance in Ajman.

The decision comes within the framework of the economic trends pursued by the emirate's government in accordance with its strategic plan 2021, which aims to provide an attractive business environment that supports and stimulates investors and promotes the growth of the national economy.

Based on this decision, the annual renewal fees for companies were canceled, and the department collected for registering the supplier, contractor or consultant in the registry a fee of one hundred dirhams in order to support companies and motivate them to register in the system and deal with various bodies in the Ajman government.

The Ajman government, represented by the Department of Finance, has granted concessions to owners of small and medium enterprises and enterprises "Tazeez" by exempting this category from registration fees in the registry and registering them free of charge, as part of its keenness to facilitate procedures and implement initiatives that benefit the owners of projects and small and medium enterprises.

The decision also excluded a number of entities from fees for registration in the registry if the applicant for registration is owned by a charitable association or civil institution of public benefit or owned by one of the bodies exempt from local fees or affiliated or owned by any local or federal government agency or an exclusive agent.

The proceeds of the fees collected in accordance with the provisions of this resolution shall be transferred to the General Treasury of the Government.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Finance Department in the Government of Ajman, affirmed that the decision of His Highness the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Ajman strengthens efforts to create an attractive environment for investment and contributes to improving financial performance and work in line with the sustainable development process and Ajman Vision 2021 by building a green economy and consolidating Ajman's position as a center. A pioneer for investments and business.

His Highness indicated that the Ajman government is working continuously to implement many initiatives that would facilitate the institutions and investors to conduct business in the emirate in order to enable the business sector to grow and stimulate the economic movement and thus contribute to achieving the financial and economic balance in the country.

For his part, His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in the Government of Ajman, affirmed that the decision of His Highness the Crown Prince supports the efforts of the Emirate of Ajman aimed at raising the emirate’s competitiveness and creating a sustainable economy, pointing to the need to create an attractive environment for investments.

His Excellency indicated that the development plans drawn up by the Emirate of Ajman focus heavily on the economic sector, which the Ajman government has always sought to stimulate and support its growth, in line with the vision of the wise leadership and the goals of the UAE Vision 2021 to strengthen the country's position in global competitiveness indicators.
