Chemnitz (dpa / sn) - After the death of an 89-year-old in Chemnitz, her husband has to be in custody.
A police spokesman said on request on Saturday that an arrest warrant had been issued against the 84-year-old.
The man is in a correctional facility.
The woman was found dead on Friday morning in her apartment in Chemnitz-Markersdorf by employees of a nursing service.
Public prosecutors and police are investigating suspected homicide.
An autopsy should now provide information about the circumstances of death.
