Hamburg (dpa / lno) - For Hamburger SV, only one victory is up for debate in the top game of the 2nd Bundesliga at VfL Bochum.

The North German candidate for promotion wants to shorten the gap to leaders Bochum today.

There are currently five points separating the two teams.

“Time for us to change,” said coach Daniel Thioune on Thursday.

His team has been without a win for five games.

But the coach sees an increasing form curve in his professionals.

Four days earlier, his team was clearly overweight against the second Holstein Kiel with 17: 3 shots on goal.

However, the game ended 1: 1.

HSV has to do without David Kinsombi (muscle problems), Tim Leibold (red card suspension), Toni Leistner and Rick van Drongelen (both in advanced training).

In contrast, Klaus Gjasula is fit again.

Bochum and HSV have faced each other 80 times so far.

Hamburg leads with 35 wins, Bochum has 24 successes.

HSV lost the first leg this season with 1: 3.
