12 March 2021 The new meeting on the Alitalia dossier between the competent ministers of the Draghi government and the European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager, has been set for next Tuesday, March 16.

The video call meeting will be attended by the ministers of economic development, Giancarlo Giorgetti, of sustainable infrastructure and mobility, Enrico Giovannini, and of the economy, Daniele Franco.

This is a new meeting after the first, which took place on February 26th.

In this way, the government's work on the future of Alitalia continues.

We want to seek solutions quickly both for Alitalia under extraordinary administration and for Ita, the newco, whose take-off is expected in the spring to intercept the demand for the summer season.

The ministers and the commissioner agree on the "need to proceed under the sign of discontinuity".

The following day, Giorgetti will be heard in the Chamber's Transport Commission on the new Ita plan, while on Friday there will be the second meeting between the unions and the Alitalia commissioners in extraordinary administration, Giuseppe Leogrande, Daniele Santosuosso and Gabriele Fava.

Infrastructure Minister Enrico Giovannini in an interview with 'La Repubblica' specified that "the so-called stew is not synonymous with a small company. We are aiming for a robust, competitive, but not vertically integrated carrier - he stressed - if we use the the term stew implicitly means a small thing. This is not Ita's plan. To have a robust vector it does not need to be completely vertically integrated, but it can make new alliances and be a strong customer even of the functions eventually distributed ".

Filt CGIL: after 4 governments they do not pay workers

"After 4 governments we do not want the workers to pay the key to the problem. We are in favor of the investment of 3 billion but we need a flag company with a value, which is on the market and not a mini company. We all agree - I appeal to all political parties - that with 3 billion no workers are fired?

This was stated by the national secretary Filt Cgil, Fabrizio Cuscito speaking at the extraordinary municipal council of Fiumicino on Alitalia.
