The reasons for his act are currently unknown.

A 65-year-old woman was arrested Thursday evening in the Arnaud-Bernard district in Toulouse, accused of having deliberately run over a delivery man who was traveling by bicycle.

Slightly injured, the victim was taken to hospital.

Hospitalized in psychiatry

At around 7:30 p.m., the 21-year-old delivery man was at a standstill, on his cycle, when this motorist came to shout at him, police said.

For no apparent reason, she would then suddenly have started to run in his direction and hit him on purpose.

Passers-by who witnessed the scene called the national police.

Arrested by officials, the sexagenarian, visibly agitated, was heard and finally interned in a psychiatric hospital.

The Toulouse public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation.

In January, a man was killed and two others were seriously injured in Cépet, north of Toulouse, by a motorist who intentionally struck them.
