Querfurt (dpa / sa) - A 72-year-old driver was seriously injured in a storm-related traffic accident in Querfurt.
The senior crashed into the trailer of a truck on Thursday on the federal highway 180 near the district of Gatterstädt, which had been hit by the storm and pushed onto the opposite lane, the police said.
After the impact, the 72-year-old's vehicle threw into a field.
The man was admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
The federal highway was closed for several hours after the accident.
