Bremen (dpa / lni) - The President of the State Audit Office of Bremen, Bettina Sokol, will present the “Annual Report 2021 State and City of Bremen” in a video conference today (10.30 a.m.).
The authority checks, among other things, the budget and economic management and the handling of taxpayers' money.
Every year, the Court of Auditors criticizes incorrect accounting, defects in contract drafting or in management.
Last year, Sokol referred, among other things, to incorrect calculations for the water abstraction fees in 2017 and 2018 in the amount of 1.9 million euros, which still have to be levied retrospectively.
The annual report will be posted online after the conference.
