Savelyev announced the creation of the Aurora Far East regional airline.
“I want to say that the issue was worked out, and the Sakhalin Region acquired 51 percent of the shares of the Aurora airline from PJSC Aeroflot for one ruble, as it was decided,” the minister said.
He also noted that Aurora will receive 45 units of Russian-made aircraft by 2024.
In January 2020, Putin instructed the government to submit proposals for the creation of an airline specializing in transportation to the Far East.
Later, Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia Alexander Yurchik commented on the possibility of creating a new airline in the Far East.
