Berlin (dpa / lhe) - In Hesse, 1083 further corona infections were registered within one day.
The number of deaths associated with the virus rose by 16 to a total of 5,999, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) from Thursday (as of 3:10 a.m.).
The nationwide incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, was 72.8 - after 69.2 the previous day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 195,365 corona infections have been detected in Hessen.
According to the information, the city of Offenbach had the highest incidence of 131.3 among the regions.
The Lahn-Dill district with 112.5 and the Fulda district (109.3) were also above a value of 100.
According to data from the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 265 Covid-19 patients were treated in the state's intensive care units, 135 of whom were ventilated.
1679 of the intensive care beds available in Hessen in 1970 were occupied (as of 7.19 a.m. on Thursday).
