Los Angeles (AP) - “Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan (34) wants to make his directorial debut with the continuation of the boxing drama “Creed II - Rocky's Legacy”.

As the MGM studio announced, Jordan will again play the leading role in "Creed III" - as in the first two films.

"Directing has always been my aim, but the timing had to be right," the industry journal "Variety" quoted the actor from the studio announcement.

He now feels ripe for this task and has learned a lot from directors such as Ryan Coogler and Denzel Washington.

In "Creed - Rocky's Legacy" (2015) Sylvester Stallone played the role of the aged Rocky Balboa, who is now in the ring as the boxing trainer of the young Adonis Creed (Jordan), son of the famous boxer Apollo Creed.

Directed by Ryan Coogler.

The sequel was directed by Steven Caple Jr. in 2018.

"Creed III" should come to the cinemas in November 2022.

In addition to blockbuster films such as “Black Panther” and “Creed”, Jordan also made indie films such as “Fruitvale Station” and the judicial drama “Just Mercy”.

In 2020 he was named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.
