Munich (dpa / lby) - In the mask affair, the CSU state parliament member Alfred Sauter attacked his parliamentary leader Thomas Kreuzer sharply.

Kreuzer had asked Sauter to name the sum of money that he had received for drawing up one of the controversial purchase contracts for corona protective masks.

As can be seen from an email from Sauters on Thursday, Sauter does not name the amount and also criticizes Kreuzer's approach.

“Nobody likes to be put under pressure - neither do I,” Sauter wrote to Kreuzer.

First of all, the radio station Antenne Bayern reported about it.

The contract had become known in connection with the mask affair of the member of the Bundestag Georg Nüßlein, who had since left the CSU.

Sauter had stated that as a lawyer he had drawn up the contract for a mask business with the Bavarian state government.

Such deals, in which Union politicians were involved, are currently putting the CDU and CSU under considerable pressure.

Sauter now emphasizes that due to the obligation of confidentiality he cannot give any further details about the deal.

"Based on your own expertise, you know that an exemption from this duty is not in my hands and that I must not be put under pressure in this regard," wrote Sauter to Kreuzer, who is himself a lawyer.

In addition, the former Bavarian Justice Minister criticizes the fact that Kreuzer informed the media immediately after the parliamentary group leader contacted him by email.

Sauter accuses Kreuzer of not having called him either.

He had previously communicated his annoyance to the “Augsburger Allgemeine”.
