Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The children's university in Magdeburg has prepared a lecture on the subject of sound.
The University of Magdeburg announced on Thursday that various experiments were planned for the presentation on March 20 (11.00 a.m.) with physics professor Claus-Dieter Ohl.
For example, what happens if you put a table tennis ball on the membrane of a loudspeaker?
Or what patterns result when you sprinkle sand on a vibrating plate?
"Physics teaches us to listen very carefully and then to ask questions in order to better understand the nature around us," explained Professor Ohl.
The 30-minute online lecture is free and is aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 12.
After registering on the website of the Magdeburg Children's University, interested parties will receive a link with all further information.
The children's university in Magdeburg has existed since 2003, and since then over 100 lectures have been offered.
