Paderborn (dpa) - veteran Uwe Hünemeier is at the second division soccer club SC Paderborn for at least a year.
The 35-year-old central defender extended his contract until June 30, 2022 with an option for another season.
Hünemeier, who was trained as a youth by Borussia Dortmund and also played five Bundesliga games for BVB, played for Paderborn from 2013 to 2015 and returned after three years with the English second division team Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018.
Overall, he played with the SCP for two seasons in the Bundesliga.
