Saudi Cabinet issues important decisions

The Saudi Council of Ministers held its session today - via video call - headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, and issued 10 important decisions.

The Council appreciated that the League of Arab States granted a Certificate of Appreciation to the Shield of Arab Development Action for the year 2021 to Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman in appreciation of his role in promoting the comprehensive development approach in the Kingdom and the Arab world, and his efforts in supporting and strengthening joint Arab action in all fields, in the service of security, stability and development And prosperity of the region.

The Council of Ministers followed up on the measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its national capabilities and acquisitions in a way that preserves global energy security, and to stop terrorist attacks to ensure the stability of energy supplies, the security of petroleum exports, and the guarantee of maritime traffic and global trade, usually the two terrorist attempts to target the port of Ras Tanura and the residential neighborhood in Dhahran. A blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and to the extent that they are treacherous and cowardly targeting the Kingdom, they are targeting the global economy to a greater extent, and once again calling on the countries of the world and its organizations to stand against these actions directed against civilian objects and vital installations.

In his statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Minister of Information, stated that the Council stressed the message of the Kingdom's permanent delegation to the United Nations to the Security Council, asking the international community to assume its responsibility regarding the military hostilities waged by the Houthi terrorist militia supported by Iran towards civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom, and holding those responsible accountable for those threats that undermine the United Nations efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen, and the credibility of international resolutions.

The Council of Ministers reviewed the contents of the statement issued at the conclusion of the meeting of the League of Arab States Council at the ministerial level in its 155th session, and its emphasis on the centrality of the Palestinian issue, issued by Arab priorities within the framework of international references and the Arab Peace Initiative, and the Kingdom’s affirmation of its interest and keenness on The unity, sovereignty and integrity of the Arab territories, rejecting any prejudice threatening the stability of the region, its support for political solutions to the crises in it, the importance of promoting joint Arab action, and adherence to the firm positions towards the central Arab issues.

Al-Qasabi indicated that the Council discussed what was issued by the Arab Ministerial Quartet on the developments of the crisis with Iran, and ways to address its interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, in terms of condemning the continuation of Iranian interference and its denunciation of the continuous provocative statements by Iranian officials against the Arab countries, again in this regard, calling The Kingdom of the Kingdom to the international community to assume its responsibilities regarding the threat posed by these Iranian practices to international peace and security.

The Cabinet stressed the importance of collective action between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Fourteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Kyoto, Japan, to reduce the gap between developed and developing countries in various areas of development, concerted efforts and harnesses all energies to prevent crime, achieve criminal justice and the rule of law. The members of the Council highly appreciated the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to harness all potentials and energies to serve the guests of Allah, and raise the performance of institutions operating in the Hajj and Umrah sector, on the occasion of the issuance of the generous approval for a number of incentive initiatives for establishments operating in the sector, which come as an extension of the efforts of the government The Kingdom to mitigate the financial and economic impacts of the Corona pandemic repercussions on individuals, private sector establishments and investors, and within more than (150 initiatives) it launched with total allocations exceeding (180 billion riyals).

Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi stated that the Council of Ministers followed the developments of the Corona pandemic at the local and international levels, the latest statistics and data related to the virus and the vaccination campaign, and the reassuring indicators it contained in the epidemiological curve in the Kingdom, and recorded an increasing frequency in administering the vaccine, in more than (450 sites). In all cities and regions, reaffirming the importance of adhering to precautionary measures and preventive measures;

To maintain public health, and to protect the gains made during the last period at all levels.

In the context of its review of the results of the international conference on the Kingdom's efforts in serving Islam and Muslims and consolidating the values ​​of moderation and moderation, the Council touched on the Kingdom's adherence, since its establishment, to Islamic law, method and action, and to follow it in consolidating the values ​​of moderation and moderation, and its pride in the honor of serving the Two Holy Mosques and their intent, and its adoption of the just causes of Muslims. Defending it, and working through (the Kingdom's Vision 2030) to deepen the values ​​of responsible citizenship, and to enhance intellectual security through an intellectual and cultural system that preserves the original principles and fixed values.

The Council of Ministers reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying, and it also reviewed the findings of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers in this regard.

The council concluded the following:

Firstly:

Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Interior in the Republic of Hungary in the field of water management.

Secondly:

Authorizing the Minister of Economy and Planning - or his representative - to negotiate with the Iraqi side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Planning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Planning in the Republic of Iraq for cooperation in the field of development planning for economic diversification and private sector development, signing it, and then submitting the final copy Signed, to complete the statutory procedures.

Third:

The formation of a committee named (The Supreme Committee for Research, Development and Innovation), linked to the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, headed by the Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, and concerned with the development of the research, development and innovation sector in the Kingdom.

Fourthly:

Approval of the cultural strategy of the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

(2020 AD - 2030) adopted by the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in its (forty) session.

Fifthly:

The blood plasma collection centers - to be established and operated by the private sector - financially compensate the blood plasma donors - from their own resources - for their time deducted during the blood plasma donation sessions in those centers.

Sixthly:

Approval of the accounting and auditing profession system.

Seventh:

Approval of the model (decision support for the analysis and provision of housing units in cities and its governance) in the city of Riyadh, the governorate of Jeddah, and the metropolis of Dammam, to be a guiding model for use by the concerned authorities.

Eighth:

Approving the regulation of the Digital Government Authority.

Ninth:

Amending the social insurance system issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 33) dated 9/3/1421 AH, as stated in the decision.

Tenth:

Approval of promotions to the two ranks (fifteenth) and (fourteenth), as follows:

Ahmed bin Mahdi bin Misfer Al-Harthy is promoted to a position (administrative advisor) at the (fifteenth) rank at the Ministry of Education.

Promoting Muhammad bin Hamid bin Muhammad al-Khaibri to a position (General Director of the Diwan Branch in the Eastern Province) at the (fifteenth) rank at the General Accounting Office.

Faisal bin Ahmed bin Moaid Al-Maliki is promoted to a position (General Director of the Diwan Branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region) at the (fifteenth) rank at the General Accounting Office.

Abdul Rahman bin Yahya bin Abdul Rahman Abu Wakeda is promoted to a position (administrative advisor) at the (fifteenth) rank at the General Accounting Office.

Promoting Mohammed bin Salman bin Mohammed Al-Jaraiwi to a position (advisor for regions affairs) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Interior.

Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Abdullah Al-Mubarak is promoted to a position (security advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Interior.

Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Mudhayan is promoted to the position of Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs (14th rank) in Public Security.
