A court in Greece has sentenced two Afghans under age to five years in prison for arson in the case of the Moria registry on the island of Lesbos.

This was reported on Wednesday by the state regional broadcaster of the island of Lesbos.

They were about to be taken to a minors' prison in central Greece, it said.

The judgment was made on Tuesday, the report said.

Legal proceedings against four more suspected arsonists who have grown up are still pending. The Moria camp was completely destroyed in September 2020 after a major fire. There were no injuries or deaths, around 13,000 residents were temporarily completely homeless. The majority of the migrants who still live on Lesbos have since been housed in a makeshift tent camp.
