The man, who is supposed to be in his 25s, alerted himself about the injuries and was taken to hospital.
According to the police, the injuries must have been so serious that they could have been life-threatening if the man had not received help in time.
A woman who was at the scene where the incident allegedly took place has been arrested and is suspected of attempted murder.
The incident took place in a home early on Tuesday morning and the place where it happened is cordoned off.
