[100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China] Visiting the "Cradle" of Chinese Women Cadres: An opportunity for revitalization in the old revolutionary base

[Explanation] On the eve of Women’s Day, in Shigeyu Village, Wuxiang County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, the photo exhibition of the Women Cadre Training Course of the Northern Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee attracted the public to visit. Old photos outline Chinese women cadres 80 years ago The prototype of the "cradle".

The Northern Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was established in 1924 and successively located in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanxi.

As an old revolutionary base, Shanxi was once the center of the North China Anti-Japanese Base. Shigeyu Village is next to Wangjiayu, the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army.

This is not only the "family house" of the Eighth Route Army, but also the center of the women's anti-Japanese national salvation movement in North China.

The leaders of the Women's Committee of the Northern Bureau of the Communist Party of my country, especially the famous women's movement leaders in the modern revolutionary history of our country, have lived and fought here for a long time.

This photo is a group photo of Liu Zhilan (Mrs. Zuo Quan), Pu Anxiu (Mrs. Peng Dehuai), Zhuo Lin (Mrs. Deng Xiaoping), and Nie Rongzhen who were pregnant in Shigeyi in May 1940.

[Explanation] According to the retained photos and written records, the main content of the women's training class includes Marxism-Leninism, the basic knowledge of the Communist Party of China, the situation of the war of resistance, the principles and content of women's liberation, etc.

In their spare time, women's training classes often organize women to sing and read, spin and weave, and raise chickens and pigs.

Encourage women to stop foot-binding, participate in agricultural production, seek economic independence, and maintain freedom of marriage.

The two women's training courses played an active role in training women cadres, organizing women's resistance against Japan, and opening up the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base Areas.

The “snowball” approach was adopted to promote the work of women cadres at various levels, and good results were achieved.

[Explanation] In the past, Shigeyu was a poor village. In 2019, Shigeyu was included in the core area for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics with the former site of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters Wangjiayu as the core.

With the help of poverty alleviation policies, this old revolutionary base has all been stabilized and lifted out of poverty.

In the future, we will use this red culture to promote rural revitalization.

Then it is to drive various industries, and then drive this farmhouse or mountain family to develop and increase the income of farmers.

[Commentary] On March 6, the United Front Work Department of Shanxi Medical University and the Women's Federation of Wuxiang County jointly presented books and various daily necessities to the local area.

[Concurrent] Shang Zhirong, member of the organization committee of the General Branch of Shanxi Medical University, National Revolution of China

As a woman in the new era, as a medical worker, I contribute to the revitalization of the countryside.

Rural doctors have been stationed in the countryside for a long time to provide basic medical services to farmers at the grassroots level. I am willing to use our knowledge and expertise to help these rural doctors improve their knowledge and better serve more people.
