Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Because they are said to have sent threatening letters nationwide and committed an arson attack, the Stuttgart public prosecutor has brought charges against a man and a woman.

The two 39-year-olds would be charged on suspicion of attempted coercion and attempted arson, said a spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Stuttgart on Tuesday.

The threatening letters were therefore sent to politicians, authorities, ministries and transport associations between December 2019 and October 2020.

In August 2020, the accused are said to have carried out an arson attack on a building belonging to the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg.

The accused's letters of confession are said to have been signed with "MIlitantE ZellE (MIEZE) - united in the collective of revolutionary action cells (RAZ)".

The duo was arrested last October.
