Al-Raffa Police Station was able to settle checks notifications worth 300 million dirhams during the past year, despite the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, and fears of its economic effects on the commercial sectors.

The director of the center, Brigadier General Ahmed Thani bin Ghalita, confirmed that the center succeeded in settling one communication worth 100 million dirhams, thanks to the efforts of mediation between the two parties and the provision of the appropriate atmosphere to reach solutions between them, which contributed to reaching an amicable solution that served the interests of both sides.

In detail, Bin Ghalita said that the center was able to settle 1,473 checks, valued at about 300 million dirhams, during the past year, stressing that the check-report settlement program solves major problems, as the accused in these reports are often not criminals in criminal cases, including merchants and owners. Businesses stumble for one reason or another, and when the notices issued against them are resolved amicably, they can resume their activities and continue their lives.

He added that one report against a merchant amounted to 100 million dirhams owed to a bank, but through the check settlement program, the center was able to reach a solution and a satisfactory payment line for both parties without the need to take escalatory measures or refer the file to the judiciary.

He explained that the importance of the program appears in the notices of non-payment that the center can settle, pointing out that reaching a solution in 1473 reports reflects the amount of effort exerted by the work team at the center, as their owners can turn into defendants if their problems are not resolved amicably with the whistleblowers.

Bin Ghalita added that the police station does not interfere between the two parties in order not to be accused of influencing the interest of one party on another account, but it provides all the facilities for the success of the settlement amicably as soon as one of the parties expresses his desire to solve the problem, without moving the report and referring it to the prosecution, and the second party’s approval of that Their agreement is written a pledge in the center.

He explained that achieving this amount of settlements within the Al-Raffa Center is a good thing in light of the circumstances that accompanied the Corona pandemic and the fears of its economic effects, and the reluctance of many to fulfill their financial obligations in anticipation of the future, but what has been achieved also reflects the confidence of commercial transactions parties in the economy and their ability to move forward in a manner. Safe in the future.

He revealed an exceptional initiative implemented by the center during the Corona initiative when it transferred all its offices, departments and employees from the current headquarters to a house provided by one of the partners in the region during the periodic inspection of the center by the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigation Affairs, Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, and it was a surprise to everyone. Evacuating the headquarters in this way, pointing out that the purpose of this experiment is to train workers to work in compelling circumstances that could happen suddenly, such as the transmission of a Coronavirus infection to the center or any other reason, and they have demonstrated great efficiency and flexibility in dealing with this variable.

He stressed that the Al-Raffa Police Station now has a first, second and third rows of human cadres, so work cannot be stopped due to the absence of anyone even if it is the director of the center itself, or any of the department heads.

First in job satisfaction

The Director of the Rifaa Police Station, Brigadier General Ahmed Thani bin Ghalita, revealed that the center was at the bottom of the list of Dubai police stations in terms of job satisfaction about three years ago, as it occupied the position before the last, but thanks to specialized programs and the containment of the human cadre that none of its personnel has progressed significantly. It is remarkable to occupy the first place in job satisfaction at the level of the UAE government with a rate of 99.9%.

He stressed that this is an experience worth pondering because it focused on the human side in dealing with employees, encouraging them to initiate and innovate, and holding them responsible for the place they work in, to the point that two of the center's members reside in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and apologized for not working at Al Maktoum Airport despite its proximity to their place of residence. For their attachment to the Rifaa police station.

He pointed out that the suggestion index jumped from 10 proposals per year to more than 260 proposals, and the index became zero in the resignations, unjustified absence, trials, and job turnover that takes place when an employee proves failure in his position.
