Mahamane Ousmane filed his appeal yesterday Monday with the Constitutional Court of Niger.

The unfortunate candidate still disputes the results of the presidential election of February 21, officially won by the candidate of the power in place, Mohamed Bazoum, with nearly 56% of the vote, against a little more than 44 for Mahamane Ousmane.

These are the provisional results announced by the Ceni, the independent national electoral commission.

Mahamane Ousmane

, who claims victory with, according to him, "at least 50.30% of the vote" in the second round.

He is therefore now appealing to the Constitutional Court.

Monday, March 8 at a press conference, he listed the facts that feed the appeal filed with the judges.

Minutes transmitted by the Ceni circuit discordant compared to that transmitted by our delegates;

minutes signed by our delegates, under duress of firearm;

minutes not signed at all by our delegates;

polling station results, announced on polling day, at midday;

p

minutes from polling stations that did not open at all on polling day;

prefabricated minutes before voting day, substituting the real results;

false ballots, marked with fingerprints in favor of my competitor Bazoum Mohamed.

I decided to testify before the Constitutional Court, on the basis of the facts, so that it can say the law, in order to respect the free choice of the Nigerien people, sovereign

 ”.
