Millions of women marched on March 8 for Women's Rights Day around the world.

In Mexico, the march was steeped in powerful anger.

In a country where more than ten women are murdered every day on average, the president is showing signs of indifference to the gravity of the situation.

Mexicans demand more than ever to be heard.

Those who destroy the windows with hammers, hooded in black, are still in the minority.

But a cry crescendo in the crowd: " 

We are all responsible

 ".

The violence of some channels the anger of all.

They are now united in

the

face of

the indifference of the Mexican government

"

Here, we protect rapists and not women

"

Latest affront to date: the indestructible support of the President of the Republic to a cacique of his party who is running for the post of governor of the State of Guerrero in the next elections.

The candidate is however accused of rape and sexual violence by five women.

This activist with the white bun is ashamed of it.

He's a friend of the president

," she laments.

Here, we protect rapists and not women.

Here, the police are not investigating.

The judges are blind.

It's very hard to survive as a woman.

I don't want to be Mexican anymore

 ”.

Before the march, the authorities barricaded the area around the National Palace.

Quite a symbol, underlines Lizbeth, come to demonstrate in family and for whom “ 

the government knows perfectly what is happening and how many women are murdered every day.

The government does not want to listen.

He wants to silence us.

It protects its monuments.

We are going to see if this country can live with walls and not women when they are the ones who make it run

 ”.

On the metal walls, they painted, one by one, the names of the women murdered in Mexico, as a chilling reminder.
