In Turkey, where tens of thousands of people fleeing the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China live, a protest demonstration was held on International Women's Day to appeal for the protection of the human rights of Uighur women.

On the 8th of International Women's Day, in Istanbul, Turkey, about 500 women, mainly Uighurs, gathered in the area where the Consul General of China is located.

He then held a protest demonstration calling on the Chinese government to protect the human rights of Uighur women, alleging that mothers and families were being forcibly detained in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region.

Regarding the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, the U.S. government has pointed out that Uighur women are undergoing forced sterilization, and harms the actions of the Chinese government with the intention of destroying groups such as ethnic groups. It is certified as "genocide".

In addition, the British government has been criticized by the international community for not participating in the forced labor of the Uighurs, such as announcing tightening of regulations on related products, but the Chinese government has been criticizing the Uighurs. I am repulsing that there is no oppression.

One of the protesters complained, "My mother was looking forward to International Women's Day every year, but now she is having a hard time in the camp."
