It was on Monday morning that the police received a call about a grenade-like object.
It had been found by a person in a forest area at Omberg, between the golf course and Hästholmen.
Previously, there was a firing range at Hästholmen.
According to police, a patrol was called to the scene.
The object was photographed and the picture was then sent to the national bomb squad, which concluded that they would take care of the object.
In the afternoon, the bomb guard came to Omberg and took the grenade with him to destroy it in a safe way, according to the police website.
