Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The planned slight easing of the corona measures in Saarland are being discussed in the state parliament in Saarbrücken today.

The debate begins with a government statement from Prime Minister Tobias Hans (CDU).

Bookstores and flower shops will reopen from this Monday.

Museums and zoos can be visited by booking an appointment.

In addition, so-called appointment shopping will be allowed in retail with one customer per 40 square meters.

Despite the slight easing, the corona restrictions were basically extended until March 28th.

The MPs also want to debate a change in the University Act.

This is intended to

extend the official standard

period of study, which

is decisive

for receiving funding under the Federal

Training Assistance Act

(

BAföG

), by one year due to the corona-related failures.

An application should also refer to the professional and social security of women in the Corona crisis.

Parliament is also discussing the final report of the committee of inquiry to deal with the scandal that became known at the end of 2017 about a financial gap of almost 16 million euros and illegal financial practices in the State Sports Association for the Saarland (LSVS).

The former LSVS president and ex-state parliament president Klaus Meiser (CDU) was sentenced to one year and ten months imprisonment on probation by the Saarbrücken regional court in early March 2019 for infidelity in five cases and granting advantages.

Then the management structure of the association was changed.
