Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Saxony-Anhalt is loosening the corona restrictions again.

From Monday onwards, contact rules are sometimes much more generous than before, as the State Chancellery announced on Sunday evening in Magdeburg.

The members of one household may meet a maximum of five people from a second household;

Children under the age of 14 are not counted.

This means that Saxony-Anhalt goes beyond the agreement between the federal and state governments, according to which a total of two households with a maximum of five people should meet.

Retailers are again allowed to serve customers in small groups in the store if they have booked an appointment in advance and leave their contact details.

In addition, beauty salons, massage, nail and tattoo studios are allowed to open under the same conditions as museums, archives and libraries.

In sports clubs, groups of up to 20 children and young people can train outdoors or up to five adults.

In Mansfeld-Südharz, the infection process is now so relaxed that the schools there switch to daily classroom teaching for everyone on Monday.

In the Burgenland district, emergency operation continues to apply at schools and daycare centers.

In all other rural districts and urban districts, operations are restricted, which means that there are daily face-to-face classes only in elementary schools and for the final classes.

The compulsory attendance is lifted for primary and special school pupils.

In all other years, the classes are divided and learn alternately at home and at school.

A few days ago, the federal and state governments agreed that the lockdown that has been in place since November can also be relaxed if the politically set target of a maximum of 50 corona cases per 100,000 inhabitants and week is not fallen below.

However, the prerequisite for the opening steps is that there are stable fewer than 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per week.

If a country or a district exceeds this mark three days in a row, the so-called emergency brake should apply, which means a return to the previous strict lockdown rules.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, Saxony-Anhalt is one of the federal states that are most heavily affected by the coronavirus and has had incidence values of around 80 to 90 in the past few days Saalekreis and in Halle, where the 100 mark is in some cases significantly exceeded.

If the infection rate remains high there, the district councilors should determine, according to the ordinance, that the contact rules are tightened.

In this case, only one other person should be allowed to meet the members of a household.

A further withdrawal of the new easing is not required.
