Hamburg (AP) - Hamburger SV has lost further points in the 2nd Bundesliga due to a draw in the top game against Holstein Kiel against league leaders VfL Bochum.

At the end of the 24th match day, the promotion favorite had to be satisfied with a 1-1 (1-1) win on Monday evening in the home game against the second in the table as in the first half of the season.

Top striker Simon Terodde (23rd) saved HSV from the draw with his 20th goal of the season.

Cup semi-finalist Kiel took the lead through Jae-Sung Lee (8th).

The Kielers remain second with now two points behind the leader.

Hamburg improved to third place thanks to the point win and, like the fourth SpVgg Greuther Fürth, has five points less than Bochum.
