Juan Laporta, the new president of the Spanish soccer club Barcelona, ​​decided to appoint Ferran Reverter as CEO of the club, to lead the "transformation", as he described it.

Reverter, 48, will step down as CEO of Media Saturn, an electrical retailer.

Laporta won 30,184 votes (54.28%) of the vote in the Barcelona elections that took place last night.

In the elections, Laporta surpassed Victor Font, who won 16,679 votes (29.99%), and Tony Frica, who garnered 4,769 votes (8.58%).

Barcelona announced that 51,765 members participated in the vote, out of a total of 109,531 members eligible to vote, which is the second highest turnout in the history of the club.

Laporta and Rafa Yost, who is his right arm, said that the training ground represents the starting point, in their conversation with the Argentine star Lionel Messi, captain of the team and the rest of the players, Monday morning.
