Gera (dpa / th) - Older residents of Gera now have the opportunity to register via a citizen hotline to reserve vaccination appointments.
Municipal employees support those who have not yet had success on the vaccination hotline of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and who cannot use the Internet to make appointments online by calling 0365/8383526, the city administration announced on Monday.
"We cannot expect older people to have Internet access or to have families and friends on site who can support them," said Sandra Wanzar, head of social affairs.
Now a network of different partners is helping these citizens to arrange vaccination appointments.
"We would have liked to have established this offer earlier, but so far no further dates have been available in the vaccination portal for the city of Gera."
