Berlin (dpa / bb) - The first Berliners had themselves tested for the corona virus free of charge in new test centers on Monday.
There are 16 centers throughout the city.
"It is well received," said health senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD), according to a spokesman.
"Of course there can always be minor initial difficulties here and there, but this morning we have more than 10,000 bookings by the end of the week."
The first tests already gave positive results.

According to the booking platform, the test centers in Charlottenburger Zillestrasse and Kreuzberg Prinzenstrasse are already booked out for this week.

In Neukölln, Treptow-Köpenick and Marzahn-Hellersdorf, all test opportunities were occupied until Wednesday noon, in Pankow and Steglitz-Zehlendorf until Thursday morning.
