Erfurt (dpa / th) - In the future, data and facts about the Thuringian energy system can be found in an “Energy Atlas”.

It is intended to provide an overview of solar, wind, biomass and hydropower plants.

The Ministry of the Environment announced on Monday that it is understandable what Thuringia is doing in terms of climate protection.

Selected climate data on temperatures and precipitation also showed the consequences of the climate crisis on your own doorstep.

The Thuringia Energy Atlas is a project by the State Energy Agency Thega and the Ministry of the Environment.

According to the ministry, more than 80,000 data have been entered here jointly.

By 2040, the state's energy needs are to be met 100 percent from renewable energies.

«The service portal is an offer for everyone who wants to know more about it.

How far are we in Thuringia with the energy turnaround, with the development of renewable energies? ”Said Environment Minister Anja Siegesmund (Greens).
