Sassenberg (dpa / lnw) - A 68-year-old woman was hit by a car on a bridge in Sassenberg (Warendorf district) and seriously injured.
The woman was taken to the hospital by rescue helicopter, the police said on Monday evening.
According to initial findings, a 29-year-old was driving his car on Kreisstraße 18 and collided with the pedestrian on a bridge.
The woman was about to cross the street.
The county road was temporarily closed completely.
