A new "limited time" subscription that allows vehicles to park in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain without paying "parking" fees

The Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announced the launch of a new service that allows individual and corporate customers to obtain subscription permits for "fixed-term" parking spaces, authorizing the authorized vehicle to frequently park in sub-surface public parking lots with sidewalks painted in "black and blue" in various Throughout the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, without the need to pay fees each time they park, while these permits do not entitle them to park in parking lots designated for residents or in areas of villas or major parking lots with sidewalks painted in white and blue.

The center explained that thanks to this new service, customers can obtain monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual parking permits for their vehicles, with a fee commensurate with the duration of the permit. And 1,174 dirhams for a period of 3 months, while the semi-annual subscription fee is 2,348 dirhams, and the annual subscription fee is 4,695 dirhams.

According to the center, this service allows public parking users, entities and individuals, to apply for a permit for each vehicle they have licensed and do not carry a public plate, while various entities and mail and service delivery companies, including motorcycles, are allowed to obtain a permit for each vehicle or motorcycle they have.


The center pointed out that the fixed-term permit does not replace the residents' parking permit, but rather the tariff ticket currently applied to the secondary public surface parking, which amounts to two dirhams per hour and 15 dirhams per day.

The payment system is currently applied to surface parking lots from 8 in the morning until 12 midnight, and it does not give its holder the right to reserve a specific public parking or to park in designated, prohibited or reserved places.

She noted that this permit is considered electronic, as there is no need to display it on the front end of the vehicle, indicating that the customers can amend the permit data in the event that the vehicle data has been modified or its number changed, but in the event of travel, the Center has indicated the need for the owner of the permit to submit a request to leave and store The vehicle, to be placed in the designated parking lots, to avoid being considered a neglected vehicle and not to be removed.
