Wetzlar (dpa / lhe) - An 88-year-old cyclist was killed in a collision between a car and a pedelec.
As the police announced on Monday, the 88-year-old wanted to cross a country road near Wetzlar on Sunday afternoon with his pedelec.
He was hit by a car and fell.
The man was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter, where he died a little later.
The 29-year-old driver suffered a shock, according to the police.
The highway was closed for several hours.
