Berlin / Bielefeld (dpa) - Union Berlin wants to take a big step closer to the premature relegation in the Bundesliga on the 24th matchday.

With a success against the newcomer Arminia Bielefeld this Sunday, the table seventh with 37 points would have 19 points ahead of East Westphalia, which is on the relegation place, with 30 points still to be awarded.

However, Union coach Urs Fischer is preparing for a difficult task after the coaching change at Arminia.

Union has won seven games in 19 competitive matches between the two clubs.

In the first half of the season, Berlin celebrated their highest victory in the Bundesliga with a 5-0 win.

The teams drew nine times.

In Bielefeld, Fischer has to do without the injured Christopher Lenz, Taiwo Awoniyi, Anthony Ujah, Niko Gießelmann and Sheraldo Becker.

Grischa Prömel, who had to leave the pitch in the last 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim, is available.

Andreas Luthe returns to the goal instead of Loris Karius.
