The lifeless bodies of an 80-year-old man and his 87-year-old wife were discovered this Sunday at the end of the morning in their house in Gujan-Mestras, on the Arcachon basin (Gironde).
According to the Bordeaux prosecutor's office contacted by
20Minutes
, “a document was found on the spot, suggesting a suicide, the man having certainly killed his wife, before turning the weapon against him.
It was a nurse, who provided home care for the woman after hospitalization, who made the gruesome discovery.
The Bordeaux scientific police and the gendarmerie went to the site.
An autopsy will be carried out as part of the investigation that has been opened.
