Al-Akhbariya and Al-Arabiya channels on Sunday quoted the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen as saying that it had destroyed five bombed drones launched by the Houthi group.

The two channels stated that the coalition discovered several drones launched by the Houthis, without specifying the total number or the direction they were launched towards.

Yesterday, Saudi state television quoted the coalition as saying that it intercepted and destroyed two drones launched by the Houthis towards the cities of Khamis Mushait and Jizan in the south of the Kingdom.

A Houthi military spokesman said on Twitter late on Friday that two drones had targeted the King Khalid Air Base in the Khamis Mushayt area.
