Orlando (AP) - Bryson DeChambeau threw his arms in the air and the fans admitted to the Bay Hill Club & Lodge cheered as if the 27-year-old golf star from the USA had just won the famous Masters tournament.

It was only the tee shot on the sixth hole on the third day of the PGA Tour tournament in Orlando - but not an ordinary one.

The Golf "Hulk" DeChambeau had struck again.

The US muscle man hit the ball at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the par-5 hole directly towards the flag and 370 yards (almost 340 meters) over a water hazard.

The track is actually 531 yards long and is in the shape of a horseshoe - with the lake in the middle.

The video of the violence has been viewed millions of times on social networks within a short period of time.

“Oh man, I felt like a kid again.

It was almost like winning a tournament.

I got goosebumps when I saw that there was no splash, ”said DeChambeau, who is tied for second place on England's Lee Westwood before the final round in Orlando.

German golfers are not participating in the event in Florida, which is endowed with $ 9.3 million.

DeChambeau had gained over 20 kilograms of muscle mass last year and, according to his own statements, hit a golf ball over the 400-yard mark for the first time in training in October 2020.

The figure of the reigning US Open champion is strongly reminiscent of the green comic hero "Hulk" with the oversized muscles.
