In France, the “Climate and Resilience” bill and that which should allow the introduction by referendum of climate protection into the Constitution are being examined this week in the National Assembly.

Two and a half out of ten is the average that the members of the Citizen's Climate Convention attributed to the measures proposed by the government.

A severe note at the height of their disappointment in the face of the hopes that Emmanuel Macron had aroused by promising them to transmit their proposals "without filter".

A digestion and arbitration faced with which the Minister for the Ecological Transition Barbara Pompili wanted to reassure by declaring that she would

accept "

any drop in ambition

".

Clumsy

", estimates a member of the government when the President of the Assembly Richard Ferrand recalls that "

".

The work in committee therefore promises to be complicated, all the more so as the debate on the referendum proposed by Emmanuel Macron to include environmental protection in Article 1 of the Constitution will take place.

A political coup by the president which appears to be a trap for the right-wing opposition.
