Still three districts above a critical 100 value

Chemnitz / Berlin (dpa / sn) - In Saxony, three districts remain above the critical weekly value of 100 new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

These are the Vogtlandkreis (201), the Erzgebirgskreis (103) and the Nordsachsen (124) district, as can be seen from an overview by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Saturday (as of March 6, 3:11 a.m.).

For Saxony as a whole, the value was shown as 78 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.

This is the third highest value nationwide after Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.

The RKI was recently reported to 507 new infections from the Free State and 43 further deaths.

So far, 7,983 people have died in connection with a corona infection.
