(Interview between NPC and CPPCC) Representatives of the National People's Congress talked about "bad artists": Punishment should have rules to follow

China News Service, Beijing, March 6th (Reporter Song Yusheng and Liu Xuanting) After two consecutive years of suggestions on "inferior artists" related issues, the National People's Congress representative and screenwriter Zhao Dongling recently saw improvements in this area.

"I have put forward suggestions on the punishment and management of bad artists for two consecutive years. I am very happy to receive an official reply. I have also seen some industry associations have taken action. My suggestions in the past two years have been achieved and implemented. Very happy.” Zhao Dongling said in an interview with a reporter from Chinanews.com on March 5.

In recent years, "inferior artists" is a hot topic that always arouses discussion among netizens.

Once an artist's misdeeds are exposed, it often triggers a chain reaction: no matter how difficult it is for the artist to appear in front of the public, the related film and television works are also implicated.

For a period of time, netizens resisted in a state of "no rules to follow", often involving artists' works.

The public's definition of "inferior artists" is also inconsistent.

"How can we effectively punish bad artists" and other issues were once divergent.

"The problem of'bad actors' does bring great risks to the film and television and performance market." Zhao Dongling pointed out that once an artist has bad behavior, it is not just his own problem, it may involve multiple works and bring uncontrollable investment to the backing. risk.

She feels that artists who enjoy the "dividends" of being stars and idols should naturally have higher moral requirements for themselves.

"If something goes wrong, the artist should bear the consequences. This is understandable. But the punishment for them should be rule-based. For example, the risk of the works involved and the capital behind it should be within the controllable range and be affected by them. Can claim or other remedial measures be taken."

To Zhao Dongling's joy, relevant industry associations have taken actions to address these issues.

In December last year, the Professional Ethics Construction Committee of the Chinese Television Artists Association was established. An important task of the committee is to establish and improve a joint review and punishment mechanism, jointly develop disciplinary measures for unethical behaviors, and achieve unified standards, overall management, and simultaneous control. In accordance with the principle of classification and classification, research and define standards, formulate standardized management methods, clarify punishment systems, rules, and measures, establish and dynamically update the list of illegal and unethical personnel in the industry, and explore exit mechanisms.

In February of this year, the China Performance Industry Association issued the "Administrative Measures for the Self-discipline of Performers in the Performance Industry", which for the first time clearly stipulated the practice standards that performers should consciously abide by.

The relevant measures have just been released, but Zhao Dongling believes that this is undoubtedly a good start. (Finish)
